SMC to build Bus Sheds and Toilet Facilities for Commuters

SMC signed an agreement with Dhaka North City Corporation (DNCC) to implement a project under SMC’s CSR initiatives on April 4, 2016 at the SMC Head Office. As per the agreement, SMC will construct bus sheds with drinking water and toilet facilities for city commuters at key locations under DNCC. Mr. Ashfaq Rahman, MD & CEO, SMC, and Md. Aminul Islam, Chief Estate Officer, DNCC signed the agreement on behalf of their respective organizations. Among others, Mr. Md. Ali Reza Khan, MD, SMC EL, Mr. Shafi Uddin Ahmed FCA, Chief of Finance & Administration, SMC, Mr. Sayedur Rahman, GM, Sales & FP, SMC EL, Mr. Sekander Hayat Khan, GM, Operations, SMC EL, Mr. Masum Ahmed Jaigirdar, GM, Engineering, SMC, and Ms. Shaila Purvin, In-Charge, OTC Products Marketing, SMC EL, were present at the occasion. This initiative of DNCC and SMC will help to mitigate the sufferings of commuters, especially women, caused by inadequate toilet facilities in Dhaka.
