Safe Motherhood Day Observed
In observance of Safe Motherhood Day on May 28, 2016, SMC conducted a number of activities in the 19 priority districts under the Notun Din community mobilization program. In line with this year’s theme ‘Standard service to all new mothers is our pledge,’ SMC’s Program division through its implementing partners arranged rallies and meetings with pregnant mothers, caregivers and community people to deliver messages on safe delivery, risks of early marriage, proper child bearing, nutrition of mother and the child, and other relevant issues.
