Human Resource and Administrative Services Department

Under the Administration Division headed by the General Manager, Administration, SMC has a fully operational HR and Administrative Services Department headed by a Head of HR and supported by an HR Manager and eight administrative officers/Executives. The Department is responsible for the overall development and management of the HR and administrative operations of the entire company including the Area offices, Factory and donor funded programs. The Administrative and Services manual approved by the Board provides both policy guidelines and procedures for the implementation of administrative decisions and works as a guide book for Managers, Supervisors and employees to ensure that decision making adhere to company standards. The Administrative Manual is a living document and amended time to time as required by the Management with due approval of the Board. At present there are 773 employees both in permanent and contractual positions.

  • Salary Administration
  • General Administration and Services– Attendance; Leave; Disciplinary actions; Transfer; Security
  • Implementation of Performance Appraisal policy and scheme

  • Counseling
  • Motivational and staff welfare activities
  • Labor related matters
  • Vehicle maintenance and management
  • Management of leasehold properties
  • Building, office and equipment maintenance
