Tele-Jiggasha


Tele-Jiggasha is a telephone counseling service located in the SMC head office.  It is operated through a short code hot line number 16387. SMC started Tele-Jiggasha program with a view to increase access to information and personal counseling on health, family planning and reproductive health over telephone with assurance of confidentiality. Trained counselors are engaged in Tele-Jiggasha to conduct the following activities:

 In-bound activities:

> Respond to queries on HTSP, reproductive health, maternal and child health, family planning, HIV/STIs, adolescent health and tuberculosis.

> If necessary refers potential clients of IUD, implants and injectable (SOMA-JECT) to the nearest Pink Star outlet.

Out-bound activities:

> Conduct short survey on user satisfaction, counseling if required for LARC clients and also to providers (PSP, BSP, PCHP, CSA) to know the insights of the program following a prescribed questionnaire.

> Call back to those callers who called beyond office time (dropped calls), every day as soon as possible.

> Send SMS of adjacent Pink Star doctors address as inquired by anyone

> Send SMS to provider on various programmatic and technical updates, greetings and observation of national and international events.
