As a part of the continuous effort to expand Blue Star network with the approval from DGFP, SMC Program division included 1125 new providers (Male -1059 Female-66) during October to December' 22 utilizing its own fund. A total of 48 batches of basic training (3-day each batch) organized to train the new BSPs. The training sessions emphasized on family planning especially administration of injectable contraceptives, counseling, maternal health, child nutrition including Growth Monitoring and Promotion (GMP) and Micro Nutrient Powder (MNP), management of diarrhea, use of Zinc, family deworming, case identification and referral of TB & Long-acting Permanent Method (LAPM), basic pregnancy care, preventive measures of viral fevers including COVID-19 and other public health priority areas. This initiative of program implementation has already added value reflecting a substantial increase in sales and services.
