SMC Pharma division launched SMC Gold on February 19, 2023 to address micronutrient deficiencies among the ageing population in Bangladesh. As per the study of Food and Agriculture Organization 2013,micronutrient deficiencies, known as hidden hunger, affects more than 2 billion population, one in three people globally. To combat the hidden hunger, the pharmaceutical division of SMC EL has introduced SMC Gold, a comprehensive preparation of 32 vitamins and minerals, to address the daily micronutrients need of the body.
