SMC Enterprise Limited, the for-profit subsidiary company of SMC, and Dnet signed an agreement to create enhanced business opportunities for both companies through partnership using a social entrepreneurship approach. This partnership will make SMC products available at the door steps of the target group through engagement of Infoladies, which will serve as an alternative direct sales channel. Dnet will sell all products of SMC Enterprise at rural household level except clinical contraceptives.
Dnet is a non-profit social enterprise, which designs sustainable solutions to social barriers that deprive underprivileged people from accessing opportunities. Infolady is one of the path-breaking initiatives, which creates self-employment opportunities for women through combining information, products and services for rural women. As part of the Infoladies’ work, they sell products related to family planning, health and hygiene for women. This is where both SMC and Dnet found a common ground to work together.
