Composition
Nurowel tablet: Each film coated tablet contains Thiamine Mononitrate (Vitamin B1) BP 100 mg, Pyridoxine Hydrochloride (Vitamin B6) BP 200 mg & Cyanocobalamin (Vitamin B12) BP 200 mcg.
Pharmacology
Nurowel (Vitamin B1, B6 & B12) is a combination of Vitamin B1 (Thiamine), B6 (Pyridoxine) & B12 (Cyanocobalamin). These vitamins play an essential role as co-enzyme for the metabolism of nervous system. Thus this combination normalizes the nerve cell metabolism. Nurowel (Vitamin B1, B6 & B12) supports the regeneration of nerve fibers and myelin sheath by activation of the metabolism and the natural repair mechanism.
Indication
Nurowel (Vitamin B1, B6 & B12) is indicated where a deficiency of the relevant vitamins exists. This is also indicated in neurological disorders such as poly neuropathies, neuralgia, lumbago, sciatica, facial neuralgia etc.
Dosage & administration
1-3 tablets per day or as directed by the physician.
Contra-indication
Vitamin B1, B6 & B12 should not be used in patients on Levodopa therapy and hypersensitivity to any of the active ingredients.
Warning & precaution
Caution should be taken in patients with renal impairment, sarcoidosis, hypercalcemia and hypercalciuria, cardiac disease.
Side effects
Vitamin B1, B6 & B12 are generally well tolerated. In rare cases hypersensitive reaction has been reported and sensitivity disturbance may occur.
Use in pregnancy & lactation
No risks have become known associated with the use of Vitamin B6 & Vitamin B12 during pregnancy at the recommended dose. It is not known whether Thiamine (Vitamin B1) is excreted in breast milk or not, but may be taken cautiously during lactation. Vitamin B6 & Vitamin B12 have no adverse effect during lactation.
Use in children & adolescents
For oral administration. Children over 3 years: One to two tablets three times daily. Children under 3 years: Not recommended.
Drug interaction
Neomycin, Chloramphenicol, Aminosalicylic acid & Histamine (H2) receptor antagonist may reduce Vitamin B12 absorption.
Overdose
If there is known overdose then treatment is symptomatic and supportive.
Storage
Keep out of the reach of children. Keep below 30°C, protect from light.
