SMC EL was honored as the highest VAT payer company at the district level for the fiscal year 2021-22 in an official ceremony held in Dhaka and organized by the Commissioner of Customs and VAT, Dhaka North. The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) of SMC EL, Mr. Abul Bashir Khan FCMA, accepted this esteemed award on behalf of the company from Mr. Abu Hena Md. Rahmatul Muneem, Chairman of the National Board of Revenue (NBR), Bangladesh.

This is the third time and the second consecutive year, SMC EL has received such an accolade from the NBR. During his speech, Mr. Khan attributed the company's continuous success to its unwavering commitment to proper compliance and financial discipline.
