SMC participated in the 5th European Social Marketing Conference organized by European Social Marketing Association (ESMA). The event was held in Greece during 22-24 June, 2022. SMC presented a paper on "Engaging Private Sector Providers to Offer Public Health Products and Services Adapting Social Marketing Approach" at the conference which received special attention from the organizer and participants. The paper was jointly presented by Mr. Toslim Uddin Khan, Deputy Managing Director and Ms. JesminAkter, Program Executive of SMC. This event is considered to be one of the prestigious events for Social Behavior Change Communication (SBCC) and Social Marketing professionals across the globe. The main objective of the conference was to gather leading academia, practitioners, policymakers, researchers and relevant experts across the globe to promote positive public health interventions, behavior change and social good.
The plenary session was attended, among others, by Prof. Jeff French, President of International Social Marketing Association and CEO of Strategic Social Marketing, Kings College London, University of Brighton, UK who applauded SMC's presentation and its contribution in the health, nutrition and family planning sector in Bangladesh.
