The ICT Division of SMC has started implementing the System Analysis Program Development (SAP) and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system to increase the productivity of the employees and grab future opportunities. The kick-off session of SAP was held on October 18, 2022 at SMC Head Office with an aim to enhance the operational excellence and upgrade its information system to Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system. The ERP system is the best fit for almost all business functions like pharmaceuticals, manufacturing, trading and distribution of SMC. 

Mr. Muhammed Farhad Hussain FCA, Director, SMC and SMC EL Board, Mr. Aftab ul Islam FCA, Director, SMC and SMC EL Board, Mr. Toslim Uddin Khan, MD & CEO of SMC, Mr. Abdul Haque, MD of SMC EL and the senior management members of both SMC and SMC EL were present in the program. Mr. Mohammad Giash Uddin, Addl GM, ICT Division and Project Manager, SAP project highlighted the advantages and key features of SAP in his presentation particularly how it will benefit company's strategic decision making and integrating business processes. Population, Health, and Nutrition; Ashley Smith, Senior Commodity Advisor, USAID Washington; Kelley Lynch, Communications Specialist, Office of Population, Health, and Nutrition (OPHN), and Ms. Ristia Limpa, Project Management Assistant. Dr. Salah Uddin Ahmed, Addl GM, Training and Service Delivery, SMC accompanied the USAID team during the visit.
